The Remote Addressable Devices (RADs) are sensors deployed at well-defined points of the copper cable network.
RADs measure physical quantities (e.g.: pressure inside a pressurized cable, air flow, temperature, etc.) relevant to the status of the pressurized copper cable network, or control the opening of a manhole, the cutting of an aerial cable and the access to distribution cabinets. RADs are connected to AUs by means of dedicated copper pairs.
Following TLC operators' requirements, Nicotra Sistemi has designed, and is constantly improving, a complete family of Remote Addressable Devices (RADs). Nicotra Sistemi RADs, the most stable, reliable and accurate sensors available on the market, measure all physical quantities (e.g.: pressure with TP204M) that might affect the performance indicators of the pressurized copper cable network.
